About

About Korolova

Olga Korolova is a DJ, music producer and founder of Captive Soul. Originally from Chernihiv, Ukraine, she takes melodic techno and progressive house to festivals such as Tomorrowland and Ultra Music Festival.

Music came early. She started studying piano at six and, in a 2022 interview, said she also holds a master's degree in physics and mathematics. Before the DJ booth came the dance floor, seen from another angle: she danced at events such as Sensation White and Global Gathering.

Electronic music came into her life back in the 2000s, through the melodies of trance, with Gabriel & Dresden among her first influences. In the early 2010s, she moved from dancing to the booth and started her career as a DJ.

For a while, she played EDM under the name DJ Da Queen. In 2017, a performance at Daydream Festival in Mexico made her rethink her own sound. The change took shape during the pandemic: she used the pause to reassess her career and start a project around the music she loved most. That fresh start gave rise to today's KOROLOVA, somewhere between melodic techno and progressive house.

Sets filmed in open landscapes, from mountains to the area around the Dead Sea, became part of her artistic language. On stage, her career went international: Tomorrowland's Mainstage in 2023, EDC Las Vegas, the RESISTANCE stage at Ultra Music Festival in Miami in 2025, and Tomorrowland's Freedom Stage in Belgium in 2026.

In the studio, much of her work is made in partnership. Be Strong, with Spada, came out on Armada Music in 2022. It was followed by tracks with Franky Wah, Goodboys and KREAM, a Drumcode release with Volkoder, and collaborations with Go_A, Julia Sanina and Artem Pivovarov. Where there are vocals, the credit goes to the singer: Julia Sanina on Higher Calling, Tyoz on Nightshapes.

In 2023, she founded Captive Soul. It started as a label, with Heal My Mind, and today brings together releases by her and other artists, its own curated parties and a radio show on DI.FM. Earlier, in 2020, she had already launched by Korolova, a clothing brand made in Ukraine.

She first appeared in DJ Mag's annual Top 100 DJs poll in 2024, in 60th place. She rose to 50th in 2025 and to 36th in 2026.

Ukraine runs through her work, and so does family: in interviews from 2025, she spoke about motherhood as a source of motivation.
